Services
Populations
I strive to provide psychotherapy on an individual basis (i.e. one-on-one) with adult clients (age eighteen and above) who are experiencing stress, depression, anxiety, grief, anger, trauma, low self-esteem, and other issues. Eventually, I aim to also provide psychotherapy to adult couples, and families with adult children. I am exploring professional development courses, workshops, and supervision providers so that I will be able to provide this service in the future.
I firmly believe that everyone should have access to a safe and supportive psychotherapy environment that is free from prejudice and discrimination, and I am comfortable working with individuals from different socio-cultural identity groups. Whatever my client’s gender, sexual orientation, race, or ethnicity – I want to help them as best I can.
Treatment Approach
Every client is unique and has their own distinct qualities, issues, and concerns. This is why I prefer to tailor an individualized therapeutic approach for each client. I take an integrative approach to psychotherapy, incorporating aspects of several theoretical models. At this time, these models include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Logotherapy (Existential), and Mindfulness Meditation. I always endeavor to learn and become educated in other approaches to psychotherapy as I continue my professional development as a psychotherapist, and am currently educating myself on several other therapeutic modalities which I look forward to practicing soon.
